My hopes in things getting back to “normal” in the post-holiday season seems to have been wishful thinking. For the past two and a half weeks, I’ve been staying away from home with various animals in various locations while their designated humans have been away enjoying holiday adventures. While I am utterly grateful for the opportunity to make some extra cash and snuggle with these furry, little ones, I have found my practice slipping away from me.
This challenge of keeping up with my practices has left me feeling somewhat discouraged. I find myself needing to spend more time in transit to make it to work, my yoga teaching commitments, and feeling sleep deprived at the onset of all of these new schedule modifications. While I am finding more time to read, write, and study, I have been putting off internal and asana practices, and generally making the excuse of being tired. And it’s not just tired, it’s weary.
How do you take your practice on the road and keep yourself energized?

I have been there…sometimes we need to take a step back from things. Practice, practice all is coming.
